Deep breathing exercises, rejuvenating and the Quest For longevity
Twenty minutes per day … Who doesn’t want to look better, feel better and longevity of experience? Naturally our time on planet Earth is finite, that is a given, but if there are ways we can make our time here better, living in a healthier body, especially for a small investment of time and effort, so I say, I sign up!
For me that small time investment is a daily routine that I have done years called “The Five Rites”, also known as “The five Tibetan Rites” and “The Five Tibetans”. There may be many other names for this series of simple exercises, but they are universally almost the same.
Vim after five rites in a small book, “the ancient secret of the fountain of youth” written by a mysterious of Mr. Peter Kelder. A worthy read that aroused my interest and prompted me to do this practice a part of my daily life. I am very grateful, because the rewards are many.
The claim made for rites is that these exercises enable and stimulate the body’s seven main chakras. The chakras are the body’s energy vortices. Stimulate chakras then stimulates all endocrine glands, which body is responsible for overall health and aging process. This means that the five rites will affect the functioning of all organs and systems, physical and energetic and this includes the aging process. The man who brought the five rights outside of Tibet said that “run five rites stimulates circulation of energy of life essential throughout the body.” Deep breathing, how are you doing the exercises is a crucial part of the process. The value of only doing deep breathing exercises cannot be exaggerated! Combining the two feels like magic.
Well, if this all sounds too “new era” or far fetched, I think it’s kind of! The way I look at it is that there are many things we don’t understand about this life, and we don’t know everything about everything. I can say that did these simple exercises, incorporating also deep breathing, for years. What was the outcome? Well, I’m currently 55. I have no medical problems, I don’t take any medication, have a pain free body without middle-aged spread, a lot of energy, sound sleep and a sharp mind. 20 minutes per day was more than time well spent.
